Opening Weekend - Duel at the Dog: May 6th & 7th

Monadnock Speedway will begin it’s 51st season with the 2nd Annual Duel at the Dog, a 13-division race program spread over two full days of competition. NASCAR’s oldest division, the Whelen Modified Tour, will make it’s first of two stops at the high banks in 2023. The opening race of the Whelen Granite State Short Track Cup, a three-race mini series offering it’s own championship and point fund, pins the best asphalt Modified drivers in the country against the most talented local drivers. The NEMA Lites, Exit Realty Pro Truck Challenge, New England Dwarf Car Series, New England Pro 4 Modifieds, and NELCAR fill out a full card of traveling divisions that will also be in competition.

The stars and cars of the Monadnock Speedway house divisions will headline the Duel at the Dog Sunday. The NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Top Tier Division, the New Hampshire Short Track Racing Association (NHSTRA) Modifieds, will face off in a 80-lap extra-distance showdown. The NHSTRA Late Models, Outlaws, Mini Stocks, Six Shooters, and Young Guns will all begin their season at the Duel at the Dog, as well. Fans will be given the opportunity to get up close and personal with the drivers and see their newly-minted paint schemes with an On-Track Meet & Greet before racing gets underway on Sunday. Don’t miss one lap of the intense competition that the full two days of the Duel at the Dog Weekend promises to provide.
